Singapore was always an enigma to me. What is there in Singapore? A city? A city cum a nation? Does it have any history or any historical place? Why people are so inclined to visit Singapore? For site seeing, for shopping? Questions after questions cropped up before me and I was a bit of perplexed, confused and had dilemma or quandary thinking 'what to do'! There are so many beautiful places to visit in South-East Asia, why should we visit there considering that Singapore is world's costliest place in every terms! No, Singapore has taxis that is affordable for people like us!
I have an ex-colleague, who earlier was working in 'National University of Singapore' and is now operating a small but highly technical 'undersea' technology consultancy firm invited and sponsored us in our Singapore tour. And because of him, our Singapore tour was made possible.
So, next day of ours setting foot on Singapore soil (soil I never saw, whole city is like a garden grass carpeted) we started our tour as per the list that we prepared: -

19.03.2019 - Bugis Market - This market is nowhere near Pratunam Market of Bangkok, but it has an odour a magnetic attraction that pulled us inside it and we lost our way. we did purchase some clothes for our siblings and I purchased a wrist watch. My watch stopped working moment we landed at Changi. So we badly needed a replacement. I wanted to get a Rolex perpetual, at least a 1st copy but ended up in purchasing a cheap Chinese 'Longobo' watch, ron of it roken down and fell on Plane carpet moment I wanted to adjust Chennai time. So that goes dubious china quality.
